Enjoy a short village ride around New Tolsta looking for the Easter bunnies, followed by a treasure hunt in the trees looking for clues until you find that Easter egg! £20 per child. please contact us to book!

Fancy a short beach ride? We have beach rides heading out from the top of Traigh Mhor on Saturday 19th of March 2022. £20 per person for a 45 minute beach ride. All levels, ages and abilities welcome.

First Trec and Working Hunter Show

Traigh Mhor is delighted to announce that it will be holding our first ever Arena Trec and Working Hunter Competition on Saturday 15th of March. All abilities and ages welcome to join in on the fun... it is someones birthday on the Sunday!

Very Exciting News!

Traigh Mhor is away to Aberdeen this weekend to attend the prestigious Scottish Equestrian Awards after kindly being nominated for by all of our lovely clients, customers and supporters. We still feel pretty overwhelmed by everyones support. Fingers crossed that we put our tiny bit of Lewis on the map!

Traigh Mhor Pony Trekking is now a fully approved Association of British Riding Schools centre following on from an inspection in December.  We are looking forward to working with the ABRS in the future as we deliver the ABRS awards and progressive rider tests here at our centre.


Traigh Mhor Awarded First Aid Training Grant

All at Traigh Mhor have been delighted to receive a grant from Tolsta Community Development Limited (T.C.D.L) for first aid training for our  young helpers, volunteers and employees at the Trekking Centre. We have Medi-K coming up at the beginning of April to offer us a 3 day First Aid at work course with equine specialisation.

February Long Weekend. 26/1/2020

February (very long weekend).
We have something on every day(except Tuesday 11th) during the February Holidays for the children (and adults).

Wed 5th, Thurs 6th and Mon 10th
Holiday Clubs: Horsey fun, games, learning and riding. 10 am to 1pm and 1pm to 4pm ( out with these times by negotiation). Half day £20/Full day £35. Bring a packed lunch and warm clothes.


Friday 7th of February
Saddle Clubs. Experienced in morning 930am to 1230pm. Novices in afternoon 1:30pm to 4:30pm

Saturday 8th of February
Winter Woollies Fun Jumping Competition

Class 1:Horse V Human (max 30cm)
Class 2: The Little and Large pairs SJ class (15cm and 40cm)
Class 3: Accumulator. Novice (30cm max)
Class 4: Accumulator : Exper (60cm max)
Class 5: Pick a Fence :Novice (30cm max)
Class 6: Pick a Fence: Exper ( 60cm max).

Starts 10am

Bring a packed lunch, hot drinks and hot soup available

Own ponies welcome.







Childrens Easter and Summer Riding camps information. 25/01/2020

Easter camp
Wednesday 8th to Friday 10th of April, home every evening £100. 9am to 4pm

Summer camps

Children's Camps same format as last year (hopefully without the rain and wind)
Camp 1
Monday 3rd to Wed 5th august

Camp 2
Thurs 6th to Sat 8th August

Camping in field for two nights... Eek!

Price £165 includes meals.
Or £155 if 2 or more siblings.

Lots of riding, learning art games, beach etc plus the ABRS awards too.

Adult camps dates
Monday 1st to Wednesday 3rd of June
Monday 27th to Wednesday 29th of July.

Price with camping overnight £220, as will include breakfast, packed lunch and an evening meal. This will include 3hrs of riding per day, progression of the ABRS awards

Price without camping £170.Bring your own packed lunch,
Riding as above.

If you cannot commit to 3 days £60 per day.

We can do monthly payments towards the camps to help budgets (we will all get the 10week month of January over first).
Obviously booking is essential.
