Karen x

Charity Raffle.

In August this year a friend of ours passed away due to illness. Karen was younger than me when she diagnosed with breast cancer and like all things Karen used to do, she fought the illness head on.

During her illness she tirelessly raised money for Glasgows Sick Childrens Hospital. Raising 10s of thousands of pounds for the facility. Gentlelgiant of you will agree with me that she was quite an incredible, inspirational woman, and supermum to her four sons.

Hannah and Jimbo were Karen's horse's. And so her son's gifted them to Traigh Mhor Pony Trekking so that they could stay together. These gentle giants horse's since they have arrived have been amazing, just like their mummy. And every day I see them, I am reminded of all the great and good things that Karen achieved in her life.

So in return it seems right to help continue Karen with her charitable causes that carried her right through her illness and into her legacy.

Traigh Mhor Pony Trekking is organising a grand raffle in aid of Glasgow Sick Childrens Hospital.

Raffle tickets will be put on sale from the start of Santa Trot week, starting on the 14th of December at croft 41, in North Tolsta. Tickets can be bought from us all that week, with the grand draw taking place at 7.00pm, on the 21st of December. We would like to invite Kyle and his family down to help us make the draw, but also to see Santa.

So we are looking for kindly donations of raffle prizes for the prize draw. It can be either through and individual or through a company. A "thing" or a service, it could be tickets or a free tour. Please no alcohol.

I will start the prize list by offering a 2hr beach ride for up to four people. Worth up to £320.
