Traigh Mhòr Art

Art is Leigh's other Love and Traigh Mhòr Art is the place where Leigh gets to paint some of the beautiful scenery she sees whilst walking and riding on Lewis and Harris. 

 

The big skies and seas have always been a huge source of inspiration for me. I have always painted, first in watercolour then in acrylic on canvas and lately experimenting with oils. For me art is about the colours and light, whether it is capturing the turquoise blues of the sea to the warm muted tones of the summer dawns and dusks of this incredibly enchanting place.Most of my work is centred around the village of North Tolsta, Isle of Lewis. Beaches, cliffs, waves and windswept moorlands are plentiful. I do however, explore other locations of the Hebrides including Harris, Uists, Barra, and Skye.I am happy to undertake commissions in either acrylic or oils on canvas from a special photo.Prices include postage and packaging and please note oils may take longer to deliver due to drying times of canvas.contact email: minions@tolsta41.com
